Saturn’s Rings Transit
In 1989 I observed the transit of a 28 Sgr or γ2 Sagittarii, a fairly bright star, and Saturn’s Rings. Such an event does not happen all that often with a star of that brightness at around magnitude 3. It allows one to see more detail on the nature of the rings.

On this night I watched and recorded what I said when the Star appeared from behind the planet and then passed through the rings. The image above records what I noticed as I tracked its path behind the rings.
